Praslin

Second largest of the Seychelles islands and lying 45km from Mahe, granitic Praslin boasts the World Heritage Site of Vallee de Mai, containing the endemic black parrot, Wright’s skink and Seychelles chameleon as well as the unique coco de mer palm forest. The curiously pelvic-shaped female nut is the largest on Earth, while the male palm displays similarly human-like attributes. Along the coast are secluded bays guarded by smoothly eroded granite boulders - some of the most beautiful beaches found anywhere. Offshore lie the nature reserves of Aride, Cousin, Curieuse and Cousine with many rare bird species, and  the islet of Ste Pierre giving superb snorkelling.

La Reserve
Rebuilt to a high standard in 2007, the four-star hotel is enviably set in its own near-private cove with good beach and offshore snorkelling and the largest pool we have seen anywhere. Perfect for privacy and comfort at a reasonable price, with the benefit of good dining on the jetty restaurant.

Les Villas d’Or
Well suited to families not requiring hotel facilities, the luxury self-catering two-bedroom villas sit right on the beautifully quiet, white-sand Cote d’Or beach offering safe swimming, beachcombing and canoeing. Breakfast is served in the villa, lunch and shops can be found in Baie Ste Anne, and dinner is available from a restaurant 100mts away – or, of course, you may prepare your own.

A gently paced, relaxing tour ideal for younger  children, visiting two of the loveliest islands
whilst being accommodated in family-friendly, beachfront hotels offering safe swimming and snorkelling. While on Praslin, enjoy a guided visit to the World Heritage Site of Vallee de Mai to see the curiously shaped endemic coco de mer, the biggest nut on the planet. On La Digue, swim at stunning Anse Source d’Argent, regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world with its weathered granite boulders and white sands. Your family will return home fully refreshed and full of island reveries.  Find out more...

Suited to adventurous families with older children, this programme combines three wonderfully different locations. Lovely Cerf is only a few minutes from the main island, Mahe, yet feels well away from it all while providing very comfortable resort facilities. A private beachfront villa awaits you on Praslin, where you walk in the fabulous palm forests of Vallee de Mai and visit three island wildlife reserves. The coral island of Desroches provides the grand finale, part of a wild Indian Ocean atoll with great snorkelling and diving, offering plenty of scope for exploration and family beachcombing before flying home.
