Borneo Family Tour

Ideal for adventurous families with older children, this itinerary uncovers the rich diversity of Borneo’s reefs and rainforests. Sepilok provides the perfect introduction to Borneo’s most famous ape inhabitants. Lankayan Island boasts white sand beaches, nesting turtles and great snorkelling.  While at Sukau, explore the Kinabatangan River before venturing deep into the exquisite rainforests of the Danum Valley in search of wild orang-utans, pygmy elephants, hornbills, flying squirrels and the elusive clouded leopard. With time for relaxation as well, this tour has it all.  

 Day 
  1. Depart London.
  2. Arrive Kuala Lumpur and connect with flight to Sandakan. Tfr to Sepilok. O/n Sepilok Nature Resort, FB.
  3. Visit Orang-utan centre for morning and afternoon feedings. O/n Sepilok Nature Resort, FB.
  4. Return to Sandakan by road and board a boat to Lankayan Island. O/n Lankayan Island, FB.
  5. Full day at leisure. Optional: snorkelling, diving, turtle watching. O/n Lankayan Island, FB.
  6. Full day at leisure for beachcombing and swimming. O/n Lankayan Island, FB.
  7. Return to Sandakan by boat. Continue along Kinabatangan River to Sukau. Afternoon wildlife boat trip. O/n Sukau Rainforest Lodge, FB.
